Garima Ghar

Dignity Lifestyle Trust has launched a humanitarian old age home for senior citizens (age 60+) who belong to lower-socioeconomic families and with adequate reason for not being cared for by their families.

Bearing the name of Garima Ghar, this 45-odd bedded dormitory-style accommodation is built within the beautiful 12-acre Dignity Lifestyle Retirement Township in Neral, which is close to Mumbai and Pune cities. There are an equal number of beds for males and females.

Healthy and hygienic vegetarian and jain food is served to the members and recreational activities are conducted to keep the members physically and mentally engaged and active.

Members get their own bed, small cupboard and side table along with common spaces which include a television and laundry machine. Newspapers are available too. Open spaces are available for short walks.

Only Rs. 10,000 p.m. for you = A Life of Dignity for a Senior Citizen

Due to one deprivation or the other, the passport to live well is denied to numerous Older Indians. Dignity Lifestyle Trust now offers housing accommodation to such older people on a sharing-basis. It comes with three vegetarian meals a day, Coffee/ Tea twice a day and engaging activities for productive ageing.

It costs a total of Rs. 1.20 Lakhs per year to look after one senior citizen at Garima Ghar – Rs. 10,000 per month, excluding medications.

For a donation of Rs. 1.20 Lakhs, one needy senior citizen will get the benefit of quality shelter, hygienic food and a reliable social support system for an entire year! You may also choose to support the monthly cost of the senior citizen beneficiary with a donation of Rs. 10,000.

80G receipt which attracts a 50% tax exemption will be issued for such donations.
