We take great solace on being able to spend those last few precious hours of his life with him in his room at Dignity Lifestyle - senior citizen retirement home , as he peacefully passed away under the loving care of Nightingale staff led by Dr. Gajanan and Sister Suvarna. We were especially touched by Sister Suvarna's suggestion (almost insistence!) that our father be transferred back to Dignity rather than passing away at the hospital. While this was obviously more effort for Nightingale staff, it symbolizes the service-oriented behavior which we have experienced at Dignity Lifestyle over the last couple years.

You asked about the participation of DL staff in helping with last rites. The sense of teamwork was amazing. Nightingale staff quickly prepared the body, off-duty driver Deepak specially came in to transport the body, and Kailash made rapid arrangements for cremation which was accomplished within 4 hours of death despite heavy rain. We very much appreciate the continued assistance from Mansi and her staff with other elements of the last rites and the legal formalities of receiving the death certificate. We truly feel like part of a family where different members are contributing to help ease our pain.

Overall, we consider ourselves very fortunate that our father was in the Nightingale unit at Dignity. We visited offen over the last couple of years and always sensed that our father was at peace and very comfortable in the company of his attendants and the professional Dignity staff. We sincerely thank you for creating such an amazing facility and encouraging a culture of service and caring for the elderly amongst all those who work here.

I have been working at grass root level at Neral during the course of my audit all these 13 years now and I have personally known and seen in action most of the staff there. I can definitely vouch the genuinity of the feedback and that it has come from the bottom of the hearts of the children of the residents.

The staff there are the actual torch bearers of the Dignity Lifestyle brand and have been groomed amazingly under your able guidance. Like we say in our other forum, they have got TLC in their DNAs - Tender Loving Care. Most of them do their work as Devotion rather than merely looking at it as a source of livelihood.
